Why I Blog?

I've always been intrigued by the concept of online blogging, but never in the past had the time to explore the wide world of blogging that exists in our society today. Upon reading an article by Bonnie A. Nardi entitled Why We Blog, I began to realize how important blogging has become in our everyday lives and how they can potentially affect the world by allowing people to voice their views upon any subject and any issue that is present in today's society. In the past, I have always envisioned blogging as a static environment in which its format followed the design of a simple website that allowed people to express themselves, but I now view it as a more powerful tool for communication that produces more of a dynamic environment. Unlike the typical paperbound journals and diaries, blogging adds interaction to your thoughts and expressions with people around the world that was once impossible with conventional tools. As present day society becomes greater educated with the use of computers and technology, it is only a matter of time until more and more people will take advantage of online blogging. One of the greatest advantages of blogging that will result of this trend being vastly implemented in the future is that it will bring families and friends closer together and allow a constant connection with one another no matter how far away they live or how busy their lives’ may seem.
